The Northern Beaches Walking Football (NBWF) was established after the sport's local growth since 2017. By 2025, the club hosted four weekly sessions, joined tournaments, and had over 100 members. Initially created for retired men, it now welcomes men over 50 and women over 40. Founder Ian Stewart, along with early administrators Bob Barnes and Mick Wilson, were honoured as the NBWF's first Life Members.
